Shop Small Fauquier - COVID-19 Response

In response to COVID-19 we designed a total of 9 new shop small business directory websites. We wanted to do something for our fellow small businesses in Fauquier to help encourage people to continue to shop small and local before hitting larger retailers for the times or services they are in need of. We then decided to expand it to all the other surrounding counties around Fauquier. Each county site allows viewers to search for companies listed by name, business category, keyword, product, service, COVID-19 provision (such as curbside service, online shopping, delivery, takeout etc). There are a number of different business categories and more are added as needed. Some of the existing listings include law offices, automotive, restaurants, farms, retail, tech, etc.

It is completely free to list and update any small business listing on the site using a simple form. We continue to add new businesses to each shop small county site daily and we intend on adding more counties once these fill out a bit more.

Unlike some of the other website resources we have seen pop up recently, we intend to keep these sites up and running long after the COVID-19 pandemic has concluded (with a lot of hope that will be sooner than later). As we continue to support one another in this crisis, uncertainty, and stress... it is encouraging to see so many other small businesses and individuals reaching out and supporting one another like never before, we will get through this and continue to do great things.
