Open House at the Elk Run Church Museum, 12187 Elk Run Road in Midland. The museum was built to showcase an archaeologically excavated segment of the foundation of the Elk Run Anglican Church which was built in the 1750s. Displays include: artifacts from the Manahoac tribe, who occupied the area before European settlers arrived; panels showing the relationship between the Germantown settlement and the church; history of the Anglican Church in Virginia; Chief Justice John Marshall; and artifacts from the seven year archaeological dig to uncover the foundation. Advance registration is required for this free event due to CDC and VDH COVID regulations. All Ages. Register by 5/21 using code 1341.
