Powering Virginia’s Future: What Offshore Wind Means for Virginia’s Grid and Economy
The largest offshore wind project in the nation, Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW), is 81% complete and already delivering energy to the grid as reported in Dominion Energy’s 2026 Q2 earnings call. Set to be fully operational in 2027, the project will supply 2.6 gigawatts of reliable, resilient energy to the Virginia grid positioning it as one of the largest clean energy projects in the country.
CVOW has already created thousands of jobs, on and offshore, generating new supply chains and manufacturing investment in the Commonwealth. Join us for our upcoming webinar, where an expert panel will explore what CVOW means for Virginia’s energy future, economic competitiveness, workforce, and business community.
