The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dermatology Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing practice in Warrenton, Virginia.

Our ideal candidate has a strong foundation in medical dermatology, excellent clinical judgment, and a genuine passion for delivering comprehensive, individualized patient care. Experience in surgical dermatology is highly valued, and an interest in aesthetic medicine is welcomed.

Candidates with at least two years of clinical dermatology experience are strongly preferred. We are particularly interested in finding a provider who is comfortable managing a diverse dermatologic patient population, confident in their clinical abilities, and eager to continue advancing their expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical dermatology services, including the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of acute and chronic dermatologic conditions.

• Perform thorough skin examinations, skin cancer screenings, and appropriate diagnostic evaluations.

• Diagnose and manage common and complex dermatologic conditions, including acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss, and other disorders of the skin, hair, and nails.

• Perform dermatologic procedures, including skin biopsies, cryotherapy, and other appropriate surgical or therapeutic interventions within the provider's training and scope of practice.

• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, concerns, and long-term goals.

• Educate patients on their diagnoses, treatment options, preventive care, and long-term skin health.

• Establish meaningful, lasting patient relationships through compassionate communication and continuity of care.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation.

• Stay current with advancements in dermatologic medicine, emerging treatments, and clinical best practices.

• Collaborate with our clinical and administrative teams to maintain efficient workflows and an exceptional patient experience.

• Contribute to a positive, respectful, and supportive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in Virginia, or eligibility for Virginia licensure.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in dermatology is strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing a broad range of dermatologic conditions.

• Experience performing dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, cryotherapy, and minor surgical procedures, is highly desirable.

• Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and commitment to evidence-based medicine.

• Ability to independently manage patient encounters and treatment plans within the provider's authorized scope of practice and applicable collaboration requirements.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on patient education and relationship building.

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

• Dedication to continuing education, professional development, and clinical excellence.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Additional experience in surgical dermatology, aesthetic medicine, or advanced dermatologic procedures is a plus.

While prior dermatology experience is strongly preferred, we recognize that clinical excellence extends beyond years in practice. Candidates with exceptional clinical backgrounds, strong procedural skills, and a demonstrated commitment to dermatology are encouraged to apply.
