Silver Branch Brewing Warrenton Station Temporarily Closed Following Fire Incident
Warrenton, Virginia – The Fauquier Chamber of Commerce regrets to announce the temporary closure of Silver Branch Warrenton Station following a fire during the early morning hours of Monday December 23rd, 2024.
Following thorough investigations by both the local fire department and insurance representatives, the cause has been definitively identified as an electrical issue. This conclusion is supported by comprehensive evidence gathered during the post-incident investigation, which found no indication of any suspicious circumstances.
While exterior damage may appear limited, internal structural and operational impacts are extensive. The restoration process will require significant time and resources to ensure the facility meets all safety standards and operational requirements before reopening. The business owners are working closely with contractors and insurance representatives to expedite the recovery process while ensuring all necessary repairs are properly completed.
Due to the extended nature of the closure, ownership has made the difficult decision to release the majority of their service staff. "This was one of the most challenging decisions we've ever had to make," stated Brett Robison, Co-Founder and COO. "Our staff aren’t just employees, they're family. We've built a true community here, and having to let our team members go, even temporarily, has been heartbreaking."
The Fauquier Chamber of Commerce is actively working with Silver Branch to connect displaced employees with other local businesses seeking experienced staff. Local businesses interested in hiring these skilled professionals are encouraged to contact the Chamber's Operations Manager, Benjamin Musser.
"Despite this setback, we are committed to returning stronger than ever," stated Christian Layke, Co-Founder and CEO. "Our renovation plans remain firmly in place, and I want to assure our investors and potential partners that this temporary closure presents an opportunity for growth. When we reopen, Silver Branch will be better positioned than ever to serve our community and provide returns not only to those that invest but to the entire Warrenton community as well. This setback hasn't changed our vision – it's only strengthened our resolve to create something exceptional for Warrenton."
Since opening in the Fall of 2023, Silver Branch Warrenton Station has become an integral part of our community's fabric. Their contributions extend beyond mere commerce, encompassing community service, local employment, and active participation in civic initiatives. The Chamber encourages all community members to show their support during this challenging period.
"The success of our local businesses is fundamental to the vitality of our community," said Alec Burnett, President of the Fauquier Chamber of Commerce. "We stand firmly behind Silver Branch and look forward to celebrating their reopening."
Updates regarding the renovation progress and reopening timeline will be shared as they become available.
