Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce and VABCC Foundation Receive Stafford Recognition and $25,000 Eco

Fredericksburg, VA — The Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce (VABCC) and the Virginia Alliance for Business, Commerce and Communities Foundation (VABCC Foundation) are proud to announce two significant milestones recognizing the organization’s continued impact on economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, and business advocacy across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

The Stafford County Economic Development Authority (EDA) has awarded the VABCC Foundation a $25,000 Community-Based Organizations Support Program grant to support The VABCC Business Advocacy, Leadership & Economic Empowerment Initiative. The year-round initiative is designed to strengthen minority-owned and small businesses through business education, workforce development, leadership training, contracting readiness, advocacy, and strategic convening opportunities.

According to the award letter issued by the Stafford County EDA, the initiative aligns with the County’s mission to promote economic growth, community development, and quality-of-life improvements throughout Stafford County. The initiative will directly support Stafford County entrepreneurs and businesses through targeted programming, technical assistance, and signature events focused on sustainable growth and economic opportunity.

In addition to the grant award, the Stafford County Board of Supervisors officially presented a Proclamation recognizing the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce for its leadership, advocacy, and dedication to advancing economic empowerment across Stafford County and the Commonwealth of Virginia. The proclamation highlighted the Chamber’s role in fostering entrepreneurship, strengthening minority-owned businesses, and creating pathways for success through education, networking, mentorship, and community engagement.

“This recognition and investment are deeply meaningful because they reflect not only the work we’ve done, but the vision for where we are going,” said Ernisha Hall, President & CEO of the Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce. “We are committed to building stronger ecosystems for entrepreneurs and under resourced businesses across Virginia, and we are grateful to Stafford County for recognizing the value and impact of this work.”

The VABCC and VABCC Foundation continue to expand programming and strategic partnerships across Virginia through initiatives focused on government contracting, workforce development, leadership, entrepreneurship, and economic inclusion. The organization currently serves thousands of entrepreneurs and business owners statewide through signature events, educational programs, advocacy initiatives, and business growth support.
