Virginia Chamber of Commerce Appoints Keith Martin as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer

RICHMOND, VA — August 19, 2025 — The Board of Directors of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce today announced the appointment of Keith Martin as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 2, 2025. He will serve in this capacity while the Board conducts a nationwide search for the organization’s next President and CEO. Martin will also assume the role of Executive Vice President of Public Policy and Government Relations, where he will oversee the Chamber’s policy and advocacy agenda.

“Keith is a proven leader with deep relationships across the business community, policymakers, and chambers throughout Virginia,” said Linda Stanley, Chair of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. “The Board has full confidence in his ability to guide the Chamber during this important transition and lead our efforts on the forthcoming update to Blueprint Virginia.”

Martin has over 20 years of experience in public policy and business advocacy, including a previous tenure with the Virginia Chamber from 2011 to 2024. During that time, he served as Executive Vice President of Public Policy and General Counsel, as well as Executive Director of the Virginia Chamber Foundation. In these roles, he helped shape the Chamber’s public policy recommendations, including significant contributions to three editions of Blueprint Virginia, the Commonwealth’s comprehensive business plan. He also successfully managed the Chamber’s legislative agenda through multiple General Assembly sessions.

Martin’s academic background includes a law degree from Thomas Cooley Law School and both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Virginia Tech.
