August First Friday: A Celebration of Public School Educators

August First Friday: A Celebration of Public School Educators
Complimentary School Supplies and $1,500 in Cash Prizes
Warrenton, VA—Allegro Community School of the Arts is thrilled to invite the community to Main Street for the upcoming First Friday event on August 7, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. in historic Old Town Warrenton. This month’s festivities hold a special purpose: honoring and celebrating Fauquier County Public Schools (FCPS1) educators as they prepare to kick off a brand-new school year.
As a cornerstone of the local arts and education community, Allegro is dedicating the evening to those committed professionals who pour their hearts into local youth.
To show deep appreciation for their hard work, the evening will feature exclusive perks for FCPS1 faculty, including complimentary school supplies offered by various onsite vendors. In addition, through the generous support of the event’s primary sponsor, the Fauquier Education Foundation, three $500 cash prizes will be awarded to support classroom or personal needs. Educators are encouraged to stop by the Foundation’s table to register for the cash prize and pick up a tote bag to hold the complimentary school supplies and other vendor takeaway items. Winner names will be drawn at random that evening, and winners need not be present to win.
“Our educators are the backbone of this community, shaping the minds and futures of our children every single day,” said Lachelle Yoder, Allegro Community School of the Arts program director. “Partnering with the Fauquier Education Foundation allows us to give back in a tangible way, throwing a fantastic celebration filled with music, art, and well-deserved recognition before the school bell rings.”
Beyond these special recognitions, the August First Friday will offer its signature mix of community fun for all ages. Main Street will come alive with live musical performances showcasing local talent; vendors featuring a wide variety of information and fan-favorite items; and extended hours and special promotions from Old Town’s beloved local shops and restaurants.
Residents, families, and students are encouraged to attend, wear their school colors, and join in thanking the educators who make Fauquier County a wonderful place to learn and grow.
