Blue Ridge Care Expands in Fauquier County to Meet Growing Community Need

WINCHESTER, Va. — July 16, 2026, Blue Ridge Care announces the expansion of its hospice and supportive care services for chronic and serious illness in Fauquier County, strengthening its commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care closer to home for patients and families across the region.

The expansion reflects Blue Ridge Care’s ongoing focus on improving access to care in rural and underserved communities throughout Northern Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley. By deepening its presence in Fauquier County, the organization is better positioned to support patients where they live, surrounded by their families, caregivers, and support networks.
“Fauquier County is a community with deep roots, strong values, and a growing need for accessible, quality-trusted care,” said Jason Parsons, President & CEO, Blue Ridge Care. “This expansion allows us to meet people where they are, ensuring they receive the comfort, dignity, and support they deserve during some of life’s most critical moments.”

The expanded services include enhanced clinical availability, increased care coordination, and strengthened partnerships with local providers, hospitals, assisted-living and skilled nursing facilities, and community organizations. Blue Ridge Care will also continue to invest in workforce development to recruit and support clinicians serving the region.

As part of its 2030 Strategic Plan, Blue Ridge Care is focused on quality, operational excellence, workforce development, and community engagement, priorities that directly align with this expansion.

“Access to care shouldn’t depend on geography,” added Parsons. “We are proud to extend our footprint in Fauquier County and continue building a healthcare model rooted in trust, partnership, and presence.”

Blue Ridge Care has served families across Northern Virginia for more than 45 years, offering hospice, palliative care, grief support, and community-based programs designed to meet evolving needs across its service area, which includes the City of Winchester and Frederick, Clarke, Fauquier, Rappahannock, Page, Shenandoah, Loudoun, and Warren counties.
