Art Studio 81 Hosts "Meet the Artist" Event Featuring Painter and Tattoo Artist Mike Miller

WARRENTON, Va. — August 26, 2026 — Art Studio 81 is pleased to announce a special "Meet the Artist" evening featuring oil and acrylic painter Mike Miller on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The public is invited to explore Miller’s work, connect with the artist, and experience an evening dedicated to community and visual storytelling.

With a career spanning more than four decades, Mike Miller has dedicated his life to artistic expression. He began his professional career as a tattoo artist in 1983 and founded Divine Line Tattoo in Virginia in 2000, helping clients tell personal stories through ink. Today, Miller expands that lifelong passion from skin onto canvas, creating rich, evocative fine art.

Entirely self-taught as a painter, Miller credits his Aunt Brenda with recognizing his creative abilities early on and pushing him to paint—a encouragement that continues to inspire his evolving style today. Working primarily in oil and acrylic, his work is characterized by dramatic light, deep atmosphere, and reflective themes ranging from quiet landscapes and wildlife to portraits and spiritual imagery.

Guided by his Christian faith, Miller views his paintings as a reflection of the beauty, hope, mystery, and grace found in creation, leaving room for each viewer to bring their own personal perspective to the piece.

“If a painting makes someone stop and feel something—whether it’s peace, wonder, joy, sorrow, curiosity, or even discomfort—then it has succeeded,” says Miller. “Art should leave an impression long after you’ve walked away.”

Whether crafted as custom ink or painted on canvas, Miller’s goal remains unchanged: to produce honest, resonant work that creates a lasting emotional connection.
