Art Studio 81 Host Opening Reception for Glass Artist Lisa Klipp on October 3

WARRENTON, Va. — September 22, 2026 — Art Studio 81 is pleased to announce a featured exhibition and meet-the-artist reception celebrating the work of glass artist Lisa Klipp on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 81 Main Street in Old Town Warrenton. The community is invited to explore Klipp’s vibrant collection of handcrafted stained glass and kiln-formed fused glass creations.

Lisa Klipp’s artistic path is rooted in a lifelong fascination with puzzles and the radiant quality of light passing through colored glass. Approaching each design as a visual puzzle, Klipp meticulously shapes, fits, and transforms separate glass components into unified compositions rich with color, depth, and texture.

Largely self-taught, Klipp built her stained glass foundation through disciplined experimentation and continuous practice after taking an initial introductory course. Driven by a desire to push the material further, she subsequently taught herself the art of kiln-formed fused glass. Her fused works explore how high temperatures, structural layering, and form interact to yield striking, one-of-a-kind glass art.

“For me, creating with glass is both artistic and deeply satisfying,” says Klipp. “There is something magical about starting with separate pieces and patiently bringing them together to create a finished work of art. Every piece becomes its own little puzzle—one that captures light, color, and personality in a way that is uniquely its own.”

Attendees at the October 3 event will have the opportunity to view Klipp’s latest portfolio, learn about her technical process across both stained and fused glass mediums, and purchase original works. Refreshments will be served during the afternoon reception.
